Busy Month

It has certainly been a busy month. Gracie turned four on Oct. 4th. Marianne was inducted into the National Honor Society. Marianne had her 17th birthday. We ate Mexican and made delicious homemade ice cream to go with her birthday cake. We had a good time at the "Fall for Greenville" Festival with Mickie, Tim, and Logan. Sarah earned her Beginner Novice Title. We met up with Mickie and Logan to pick out a couple of pumpkins. Plus, I work entirely too many hours and the house is still on the market. I think that last one is a bit cause and effect. And In five more days we leave for a great weekend in Kentucky!

Too Hot, Too Dry

I think we are all suffering from too much heat and not enough rain. I am making some feeble attempts at watering my fruit trees enough to keep them alive. The cherry trees along the driveway are suffering, not looking too good at all. I let the dogs out when I was moving the sprinkler around in the front yard on the fruit trees and purple magnolia. Sarah made a bee line for it. So then Charlie realized what was going on and joined in. It was pretty funny. Good entertainment for a hot day.

Greenville Dog Show

It has been a long time since I was on here. A little ironic that my last post was the last dog show I was in. I had many other posts to do, but was unable to get on the blogspot for some reason or another. It was very upsetting to me. Ao anyway, Sarah and I were in the dog show today and Sarah earned a qualifying score. Her performance was not what it should have been, but she still earned a qualifying score. So now she has her second leg towards her Beginner Novice Title. We are hoping to earn that title at the dog show our club puts on in October.

Dog Show

Sarah was the youngest dog in the dog show this weekend (7 months old). I am very proud of her. She qualified in Beginner Novice with a score of 186 out of 200. It was very exciting. I also learned that Sarah is terrified of Gordon Setters, of all the dogs at the show!

Green is my new favorite color, qualifying green, that is.

Marianne and Gracie "kicked butt" as usual. Gracie scored a 93 out of 100 in Rally Novice, beating out 3 German Shepherds, a miniature poodle, a Shiba Inu, and a couple other dogs. This finished Gracie's Rally Novice Title and so she received her big title ribbon. Gracie's ribbons are bigger than she is.

Last weekend Mickie, Tim, Logan and Marianne's best friend Ashley came and celebrated my birthday with me. Marianne made me a fantastic Winnie the Pooh Cake. Mickie and Tim made dinner.

Logan spent the night with us last Saturday night. I can't believe he is already 10 months old.

Gorgeous Weekend

It turned out to be a gorgeous weekend, cool in the morning and upper 60's low 70's in the afternoon. I took advantage of the warmer weather and bathed Sarah and Charlie. It was a drastic improvement. Sarah is 7 months old now and Charlie is 3.

Sarah with Kellie (11 yr. old St. Bernard). Sarah has grown a lot. She is hard to take pictures of because as soon as she sees me she is running right up to me. Not so good for picture-taking purposes.

I even managed to get out and get the first tilling done on the garden, which the chickens really appreciated. They were enjoying the weather too.

The house is officially on the market. Send a buyer please.

The Weekend

I kept Logan for the weekend so that Mickie and Tim to could have some alone time to celebrate their anniversary and Valentine's Day.

Marianne was gone to Mrytle Beach all weekend for Beta Club State Conference.

Gracie used to be very protective of Logan, but now that he can chase her through the house, she is not so fond of him any more.

Logan loves music and loves the piano. Maybe the piano will get some use after all.

Logan and I had a good weekend together. I didn't get anything done around the house, but we had a good time.

I can't believe Logan is 9 months old already. He is wearing 18 month clothes. He is a very happy baby and very cute, of course.

Sarah is 6 months old now. I am thinking about entering her in the show at the end of March. Even if we are not ready, it will be good exposure for her. I'm thinking about doing Beginner Novice with her. Sarah is beautiful, but still doesn't have an appetite. She is still quite thin and only weighs 46 pounds. (Logan weighs 26 pounds).
Logan has figured out how to get around in the walker pretty good, but Sarah feels the need to try and herd him.
