I took a few pictures of the lake at the same place I took some last time, just to compare. Obviously the boat ramp is still a "no go", unless maybe you are unloading a lawnmower. But it is a little better.
It's pretty sad still, but it isn't as bad as it was last year. There was no water in this cove at all last year. And the house boats in that other picture were no where near water last year.
Wow.. that lake really is pitiful! They keep saying that Hanna is gonna come help you out with that water issue, but I don't really think they have a clue what she is going to do. We survived Gustav. Not much more than a wicked blustery day.
I was born and raised in Florida, but was fortunate enough to escape from there in the summer of 2002. I live in beautiful Anderson, SC now. I teach high school math. I love my job.

I just can't believe you actually need a lawn mower for the lake. That is terribly sad!! Mother nature needs a kick in the rear!
